| Here are stories and songs in an affordable book and CD about times way back when in the small town of Norway, Illinois.
In an effort to raise funds to put a new roof on the community church, (photo to the right) this book and song CD was created.
These stories are factual accounts taken from memory of those interviewed, including exaggerated reports from the media of the time. Some information was gathered from the memoirs of Torbor Ingles, niece of Cleng Peerson, the man who in 1834 led the Norwegian settlers to this area and established the town of Norway, the first permanent Norwegian settlement in America.
Enjoy stories and songs about growing up in rural America. Embrace the spirit of years gone by as you read and hear Rob narrate stories of times past. Hear stories of the old church choir, Willie Thompson, Inez Ingles, the Norway Temperance Association and the unsolved murder of 1875.
